Updated for 3/16/17:
* The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming is open.
About This Page:
The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming makes available information about agency, program, and site closings as a service to our employees, consumers, and families. While every attempt is made to keep the information up-to-date, this service does not replace traditional procedures/outlets for communicating emergency closing information, including but not limited to media alerts and the agency telephone tree. Additionally, employees are encouraged to contact their direct supervisor should they have any questions.
Policy (Summary):
The Executive Director, with input from Senior Managers, has the authority to close all or part of the agency for the day or early due to inclement weather or other situations (lack of utilities, problem with the physical plant, etc.).
Essential Staff: Direct care staff assigned to Residential and Community Services are considered essential and must report to work regardless whether or not the agency is closed completely or partially and whether or not Arc buses and vans are running. They cannot leave the site until their replacement arrives. In addition, staff assigned to day care are considered essential and cannot leave their shift until either their replacement arrives or the facility closes. Since the status is always “Staff are to report”, employees electing to not arrive need to use benefit time.
